Wind of change blows European aerospace research integration forward
Three national aerospace research organisations have taken a major step towards the integration of the wind tunnel facilities of France, Germany and The Netherlands.
The Dutch National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the French Office National d'Études et de Recherches Aérospatiales (ONERA) have signed a co-operation agreement. The agreement aims to cut costs and shorten test results’ delivery times.
The ultimate goal of this new European co-operation is the integrated operation of wind tunnel facilities which are intensively used by leading aerospace companies worldwide.
DNW and ONERA will perform joint activities involving technical co-operation, and also involving marketing and acquisition of contracts for their wind tunnel services. The agreement sh....
