Satair steps up production

Satair Hardware UK, which made almost one million components in the last year for the aerospace industry, has relocated its manufacturing facility to bring a bigger machine shop into production.

The 9500 sq ft machine shop in Purdeys Way Industrial Estate in Rochford (pictured) replaces a 6600 sq ft facility in Aviation Way, Southend.

Aerospace fastener distributor SH UK took over Lentern (Aircraft) Ltd, now Satair, in 2004. It produces precision-turned customer-drawn products including the niche double locking nut for the EH101 and Lynx Helicopters.

Customers include Airbus, Goodrich, Claverham, Westlands, Hawker and Martin-Baker. SH UK also supplies nuts, bolts, washers, hinges, latches, clips ....
