TWI expands and develops services

The Welding Institute (TWI), which traditionally provided support in joining technology, has developed expertise in coatings technology, process modelling, life modelling, microfabrication and the performance and reliability of aircraft structures. The U.K. firm’s current work, which supports the main airframe, engine and main component manufacturers, is being extended to rotorcraft and a greater range of supplier companies, particularly the growing sensor market.....
