Eurocopter sharpens blade assembly processes

Eurocopter has brought into operation a new blade finishing workshop that has streamlined industrial processes.”All the subassemblies are now integrated right from the start of moulding operations. Innovative, structurally integrated products and subassemblies, including the in-house NH90 deicing system are among the advances,” says Eurocopter evp Bert Stegkemper.

The La Courneuve plant in France will perform finishing operations on helicopter main rotor blades. It has booths for painting, sealing and sanding, and ovens and has been designed with built-in growth potential for new workloads.
