Reverse research psychology thrusts silent aircraft forward

Reverse research psychology has helped thrust forward revolutionary new silent design concepts for use in aircraft of the future. Designers are expected to 'cherry pick" advances used in the SAX-40 an aircraft design that blends the conventional wings of a plane into a wide tailless body giving a look reminiscent of military stealth aircraft.

The futuristic concepts result from years of work by researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the U.S. and Cambridge University in the U.K. designed to produce a "blended wing" aircraft that sounds no noisier than a washing machine humming to people living near airports.
