Hampson forges ahead with Indian aerospace ambitions

The UK headquartered Hampson Industries is forging ahead with plans to develop an aerospace division in India. Hampson, which manufactures and supplies precision machined, formed and fabricated components, subassemblies and assemblies, says it intends to make the most of 50,000 sq. ft. of new facilities in Bangalore. Kim Ward, ceo, says: "Existing established capacity in the new campus facilities in Bangalore will be reserved and configured to suit particular customer requirements and programme needs. This will be for both precision machining, forming, fabrication of detailed parts and assembly of substructures.

"The new manufacturing facilities in India will extend Hampson's existing capabilitie....
