Hawker Beechcraft begins operations

Raytheon has completed the sale of its Raytheon Aircraft subsidiary to Hawker Beechcraft, a new privately-held company formed by GS Capital Partners, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs, and Onex Partners. The price paid was approximately $3.3 billion in cash. Hawker Beechcraft has bought Raytheon Aircraft assets and facilities in Wichita and Salina, Kansas; Little Rock, Arkansas and Dallas. It has also acquired the subsidiary’s nine-facility FBO/maintenance network which will operate as Hawker Beechcraft Services in the U.S., U.K. and Mexico. Raytheon’s stake in fractional provider Flight Options and Raytheon Airline Aviation Services, which manages the Beechcraft 1900D programme, are not included in the sale.....
