Aero expands its composite offering

Aero Vodochody has announced plans to increase its capacity with production of small to middle-sized composites and fuselages of middle-sized military and civil aircraft. As part of plans to double its revenue, the company is also negotiating new aerostructure orders in the same volume as the current production of the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter and the Alenia C-27J Spartan centre wing box.

Aero Vodochody recently acquired UK manufacturing firm Rotortech Composites Limited as part of plans to build up composite production within the company. Current production at Rotortech will continue without any changes. Composite production will not be confined to aerostructures however. The company is currently producing a submarine part.....
