Further design innovations are being integrated as the PiperJet moves towards the production phase.

The PiperJet is the latest in a roll call of over 160 Piper models that have rolled off the production line of the Florida headquartered Piper Aircraft over some 70 years. But James K. Bass, president and ceo of Piper Aircraft, enthuses: "Building the PiperJet will be Piper's most exciting and complex addition to its model line-up to date. Advances include two primary flight displays (PFDs) that digitally integrate flight information on large format displays for easy interpretation by the pilot. The PFDs interface with Garmin's Attitude and Heading Reference System, which features rapid, in-motion alignment - and can reliably align, even while the aircraft is in flight.
