Rapid prototyping specialist expands into Australia

Following the launch of its facility in Leuven, Belgium, in December, rapid prototyping specialist RedEye RPM has confirmed plans to open another plant, this time in Australia.

Host facility RapidPro, which is located in Melbourne, had already been working with RedEye for some time before the company decided to launch operations there.

The 40-strong Minnesota-based company produces components for use as prototypes or end use parts. One of its largest projects was to produce aircraft landing gear for Messier Dowty.

The client designs the part or component that it requires and using mostly fused deposition modelling technology RedEye produces one or more detailed component parts that can then be used alone or assembled to build a larger part. The landing gear produced for Messier Dowty co....
