Hopes are high for 'greener' air-conditioning system

Pre-conditioned air systems that bring enough cool air into aircraft to cool them in an hour are set to be installed in Emirates's new Airbus A380 by the end of the year.

It is hoped that the eco-friendly air-conditioning system will save fuel and cut carbon emissions and help bolster the industry's green credentials. Cavotec Middle East says it is aiming to have the first order to install the system in Emirates aircraft this year, with more orders anticipated within the next two years.....
