Xian makes late design changes

The MA600, formerly the MA60, is undergoing major design changes during its development. The 48-60 seat turboprop, an updated version of the Y-7 and formerly the Antonov 24, will now have its main passenger door towards the front of the aircraft instead of the rear as originally intended.

Other changes include a passenger door that incorporates steps. First deliveries of the aircraft will be in 2009. Xi'an Aircraft, which is building the aircraft, also plans to launch the MA700, an all-new 70-seat turboprop. ....
