StacoSwitch, the leading manufacturer of ruggedized pushbutton switches, controllers, keyboards, keypads, and touchscreens, announced today that it has met the strict requirements for ISO compliance and has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification for the quality management systems in use at its Southern California headquarters. The ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized reference identifying and ensuring that the necessary components of a quality management system (QMS) are in place to continuously improve the quality of service offered to customers.
"StacoSwitch has taken a quantum leap over all our competitors with the attainment of ISO 9001:2000 certification", said Michael Carter, President of StacoSwitch. "StacoSwitch's reputation for quality and reliability has been the industry benchmark for nearly 50 years. Becoming ISO 9001:2000 certified is another testament to StacoSwitch's dedication to delivering the best in class products and services." This builds on StacoSwitch's other accomplishments of recertification by DSCC (Defense Supply Center Columbus) to maintain its Qualified Product List (QPL) listing along with StacoSwitch's recent Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) certification.
To obtain ISO 9001:2000 certification, StacoSwitch has proven they have the required resources to manage and carry out certified procedures properly based on documented requirements. StacoSwitch must show evidence during meticulous audits that employees follow the guidelines in StacoSwitch's procedure manuals and that the staff regularly improves process efficiency to ensure high-quality products.
