Cessna, the world's largest general aviation aircraft manufacturer, and Michelin, Cessna's long-term business jet tire supplier, have expanded a recent agreement to include the supply of piston aircraft tires. Nearly all Cessna piston aircraft, as well as a majority of Citation business jets, will now be fitted with MICHELIN® tires.
In December 2010, Michelin signed a contract to supply Cessna piston and jet aircraft with original equipment tires. With the contract, Michelin became the aircraft manufacturer's leading tire supplier. Cessna is a Textron (NYSE:TXT) company. The five-year contract further strengthened the strong relationship that has existed between Michelin and Cessna for many years.
To meet the demands of the largest general aviation aircraft manufacturer, Michelin developed a solution that offered the most effective combination of quality, weight and technological features.
