TT electronics receives Nadcap cable certification for its China operations
Monday, 4 June 2012

TT electronics integrated manufacturing services (IMS) has today announced the addition of Nadcap certification for cable and harness assemblies in its Suzhou facility in China in support of a growing aerospace sector customer base. The Nadcap certification has been awarded in the category of Electronics Cable and Harness Assemblies (AC7121). This certification is in addition to the Nadcap accreditation for printed circuit board assemblies (AC7120) which the facility was awarded in 2011. This certification represents TT electronics' commitment to the aerospace industry on a global scale. The Suzhou facility in China will now form the basis of future approval of operations in the US and the UK.

Following a stringent auditing procedure, the Nadcap process and product certification is awarded by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), the only auditing company approved by the aerospace industry to offer official certification audits.

TT electronics IMS divisional chief executive, John Molloy: "Nadcap is helping TT electronics add real value to our customer and supplier relationships on a global basis. As an extension of our customers' manufacturing facilities we are committed to delivering the highest quality manufacturing processes. To receive recognition from such an important and independent source, demonstrates that we are dedicated to meeting our aerospace customers' most critical specifications. We are excited to be the first Nadcap registered contract manufacturer in China to receive both PCBA and cable and harness assembly certification."

A leading, global contributor in the design and manufacture of electronics and system integration processes, TT electronics IMS attributes its achievement in developing business with many of the leading aerospace and defense companies around the world on a culture of innovation, commitment, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Supported in those early development stages, through to prototyping, new product introduction and the full product life cycle of highly-complex, high-mix electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies, customers benefit from a solid infrastructure of global skills and technologies. This is enhanced by programs that are tailored locally to offer a competitive advantage in terms of improvement of quality and meeting industry demand.

For sensitive programs, TT electronics IMS provides its aerospace sector customers with specific support through ITAR compliant Design and Manufacturing facilities.
