Crane to provide brake control system for new Cessna Ten, M2 and Latitude business jets
Thursday, 29 November 2012

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., has been selected by Cessna Aircraft to provide the brake control systems for the new Citation Ten, M2 and Latitude business jets.

"Crane is pleased to extend its long-term relationship with Cessna on these new aircraft," said Clarence Au-Young, Vice President of Landing Systems Solutions for Crane Aerospace & Electronics. "We have been supplying Cessna with Brake Control Systems since they developed the first Citation business jet in the early 1990's. Our proven expertise will ensure that the latest Citation aircraft will provide optimum braking performance."

Launched at the 63rd NBAA Annual Meeting and Convention in 2010, the Citation Ten is a larger advanced version of Cessna's fastest certified business jet, the Citation X. The Citation Ten is expected to enter service in 2013. The Citation M2, launched in 2011, is positioned between the Citation Mustang and the Citation CJ family. It is expected to enter service in the second half of 2013. Also launched in 2011, the Citation Latitude is a mid-size business jet positioned between the Citation XLS+ and Citation Sovereign. First flight of the Citation Latitude prototype is expected to be mid-year 2014, with FAA certification and entry into service expected in 2015.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics has over 65 years of experience in brake control with over 15,000 systems currently installed and in operation. Crane's brake control systems are currently installed on the Cessna Citation X, Citation CJ1+ and Citation Sovereign business jets.
