PCB Piezotronics, Inc., is pleased to announce a contract award from The Boeing Company for its Model 378A13 pre-polarized condenser microphones that will be used in Boeing's aircraft noise reduction program. The program's objective is to identify aircraft noises that may be displeasing to crew and passengers was well as detect noises, often imperceptible to the human ear, indicating part wear or malfunctions that require service.
PCB's microphones demonstrate a high level of measurement sensitivity, consistency and durability. "We met the aggressive schedule for this program because we maintain stocking levels on most of our microphones and provide 24/7 technical assistance," said Chris Miller, Business Development Manager for Aerospace & Defense at PCB. "We worked aggressively during the proposal and evaluation phase to ensure that the solution we provided was the one best suited for their application."
Boeing uses PCB's ICP® accelerometers for ground vibration testing and modal analysis of aircraft and satellites. "Boeing has been a great business partner to work with over the years" said Miller.
