Capewell's Advanced Logistics Cargo System

Capewell launches the Advanced Logisitics Cargo System

Capewell Components Company, has introduced its new Advanced Logistics Cargo System. The cargo system features a redesigned 463L Advanced Logistics Pallet and a lightweight Advanced Cargo Net Assembly. Together the pallet and net system offers advantages in weight, performance and life cycle costs. Users of the new system will benefit by improved fuel use, greater range, higher altitude flights and more payload.

Capewell's redesigned 463L Advanced Logistics Pallet features a light-weight polypropylene honeycomb core construction that will reduce the weight and will substantially improve the life cycle costs when compared to conventional balsa wood constructed pallets. When water intrudes a conventional air cargo pallet assembly the pallets often warp or crack and must be replaced. Because of its advanced polypropylene core construction, Capewell's product does not warp and damage can be repaired locally at significantly lower cost. The Capewell Advanced Logistics Pallet has been designed to meet all of the requirements of conventional air cargo pallets.

The second element of the Capewell Advanced Logistics Cargo System is an Advanced Cargo Net Assembly constructed from Dyneema®, a light weight, super strong polyethylene fiber. The improved cargo net reduces weight by nearly 50% while allowing up to 38% more cargo. These improvements could mean weight savings of 2,000 pounds or an additional 176m3 of cargo and on each C-5 mission. Additional benefits of the new Capewell Advanced Cargo Net Assembly include low water absorbency, improved camouflage, and resistance to abrasion. Capewell's patented "Sacrifice Sling" design also increases the working life of the net assembly by allowing users to replace damaged hooks in a matter of seconds.
