NavWorx, Inc. announced today its ADS600-EXP Universal Access Transceiver (UAT), an affordable ADS-B technology solution for Experimental/LSA aircraft owners. The NavWorx ADS600-EXP is now available for installation in experimental and light sport aircraft and performs to the requirements of the FAA's ADS-B rule.
Following this week's FAA announcement of a revised ADS-B rule giving experimental aircraft more options, NavWorx is pleased to offer its ADS600-EXP solution. The ADS600-EXP meets the mandatory performance requirements of TSO-C154c for aircraft operating in the U.S, and transmits SDA≠2 and SIL≠2. The new product is based on the NavWorx ADS600-B, which has received FAA TSO/STC certification.
ADS-B technology has been mandated by the FAA by 2020 for all aircraft flying in the U.S. Current estimates for ADS-B equipment installations are in excess of $5,000.00 per aircraft, and the mandate applies to both certified and experimental aircraft. Fortunately for aircraft flying below 18,000 feet, which includes most experimental aircraft, there are two equipment options: UAT or 1090-ES. Not designed to receive flight information services, 1090-ES is an outdated technology with limited bandwidth. It functions as a traffic-only option. NavWorx ADS600-EXP is a UAT that offers all the benefits of ADS-B IN and OUT.
NavWorx ADS600-EXP is a complete ADS-B solution. Optionally equipped with the TSO certified TransMonSPETM, the ADS600-EXP will interface with older transponders eliminating any need to replace the Transponder or Altitude Encoder. The ADS600-EXP communicates with a wide variety of display systems via Wi-Fi and RS232.
NavWorx has always focused on bringing affordable solutions to aircraft operators. Now, the ADS600-EXP significantly reduces total cost of installation for experimental aircraft. NavWorx is offering the ADS600-EXP for a limited time for $699.00.
Get the facts from the leader in affordable ADS-B. NavWorx has solutions to help you realize the full benefits of ADS-B today. NavWorx continues to lead with innovative products for today's pilots.
