We are announcing the release of the AFDX® (ARINC 664) and TTEthernet (SAE AS6802) versions of our 24-port Deterministic Ethernet switching product family: the AFDX-Switch Lab and the TTESwitch A664 Lab, which implements our DO-254 and DO-178C DAL A chip IP. Both variants support full 1 Gbit/s line speed.
The AFDX variant is fully compliant to the ARINC 664 p7 standard, allowing for seamless integration into existing 10/100 Mbit/s AFDX networks and integrated modular avionics (IMA) systems. Both switches support 10/100 Mbit/s as well as 1000 Mbit/s.
The TTEthernet version supports three different traffic classes (IEEE 802.3, ARINC 664 p7 and SAE AS6802). The proven technology makes it suitable for the integration of new functional capabilities and the design of scalable integrated architectures, which can be adapted for different aircraft platforms and applications – one of the reasons TTEthernet solutions are already deployed in the NASA Orion MPCV, NASA's next generation space craft.
The AFDX and TTEthernet switch COTS products guarantee an efficient integration and the design of a seamless upgrade path for upcoming higher performance demands. Customers reported that the TTEthernet switch version is of great value to their testing efforts of mixed Ethernet networks. With only one powerful tool chain (TTETools) needed to configure our switches as well as end points, costs, efforts and complexity for our worldwide customers are further decreased.
