The Golden Mousetrap Awards by Design News celebrate the companies, products, and people who are energizing North American design, engineering and manufacturing. Belden Universal was recognized for the development of AS9100C Custom Universal Joints for Aircraft High Lift Actuation Systems (HLAS) in the category for Materials & Assembly: Fastening, Joining & Assembly Components.

The Frost & Sullivan Manufacturing Leadership Awards honor organizations and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. Belden Universal's aircraft HLAS universal joint development project was once again selected a winner in the Engineering & Production Technology category. In this category judges were looking for new design and production approaches with game-changing process improvements, adopting new technologies while improving efficiency, responsiveness and reducing costs.
