Teledyne opens new office in Renton, Washington in support of its continuing Boeing business
Wednesday, 23 March 2016

Teledyne Controls, the leader in aircraft data management, has opened a new office in Renton, Washington – to be close to Boeing's commercial airplane operations and their airline customer representatives based in the Seattle area.

Since 2013, Teledyne has been working with Boeing to develop and certify the next generation of data management avionics system, including the enhanced Digital Flight Data Acquisition Unit (eDFDAU), and the second-generation Network File Server (NFS2) for installation and operation on the 737 MAX that recently entered its flight test phase.

The eDFDAU and NFS2 are the next evolution of Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) avionics systems that Teledyne supplies to Boeing and airlines today. Teledyne's current DFDAU is installed in over two thirds of all of the Next-Generation 737s manufactured today as Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE), while the current generation NFS1 is either standard or optional equipment on the Next Generation 737, 777, 747-8 and KC-46.

Teledyne's new Renton site includes offices, a video-enabled conference room, and lab facilities. Masood Hassan, President of Teledyne Controls, says that being physically close to Boeing will further strengthen their business relationship:

"Boeing continues to recognize our experience and innovation in providing not only the latest state-of-the-art data acquisition and network server systems for its aircraft, but also a collaborative approach in support of Boeing's wider commercial objectives.”

The new office will be formally opened on March 30, 2016 which will include an Open House event.
