Marvin Test Solutions' ATEasy software - Nine generations and 25 years of making test easy

Marvin Test Solutions, Inc., a trusted provider of globally-deployed innovative test solutions for military, aerospace, and manufacturing organizations, is marking the silver anniversary of ATEasy, its evolutionary test software suite, first released in 1991 and now in its ninth generation.

Since its founding almost 30 years ago, Marvin Test Solutions' singular focus has been automated functional test, with the goal to make test easy for our customers by creating innovative solutions with unrivaled long-term support. ATEasy provides test engineers with all of the necessary tools to efficiently develop, debug, document, maintain, and execute test applications. Building on nearly 3 decades of hardware, software and system design expertise, MTS has continually invested in ATEasy with the goal to provide an ATE software product that is easy to use and maintain, is supportable, and meets the demanding test requirements of today's complex systems.

“From the founding of the company in 1988, we believed there was a need for an integrated Test Executive and Test Development software suite that would equally meet the needs of both hardware and software engineers. The result of this effort was an easy to use, powerful and flexible open-architecture software development and test executive environment,” said Ron Yazma, VP of Software Engineering for Marvin Test Solutions, Inc. and the architect of ATEasy. “The concept hasn't changed as the product has evolved, and most of our early customers are still using ATEasy – upgrading to the latest version as new features and capabilities are added.”

Developed from the ground up as ATE software for test and measurement applications, ATEasy is the only commercially-available test development / test executive software with an integrated HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and full simulation capabilities. Preserving test program development investment, ATEasy offers backward source and execution compatibility with all previous versions.

“Our experience shows that customers who initially deploy ATEasy on a single project, rapidly discover its value and efficiency, resulting in faster development, and reduced maintenance cost of test applications across the enterprise. With ATEasy, test departments can easily standardize on a single test development and execution environment that is open architecture, allowing them to integrate legacy code when migrating to ATEasy,” said Major General Stephen T. Sargeant, USAF (Ret.), and CEO of Marvin Test Solutions.
