EDAC Technologies proudly announces that the organization's Composites Division has entered into two long term manufacturing contracts with Snecma (Safran). EDAC Technologies' Composites Division's long term agreements with Snecma were structured to support the development and production of Outer Guide Vanes and other parts for CFM International's LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. The combined value of these two manufacturing arrangements is more than $150 million.
“EDAC Technologies is very excited to partner with Snecma on the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engine programs,” said Ben Adams, Corporate Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our Composites Division has been at the forefront of improving jet engine performance by developing new materials and composite components for the industry and we are excited to continue this tradition with Snecma and CFM International.”
According to Nick Bitter, President of EDAC Technologies' Composite Division, “EDAC Composites will rely on its suite of manufacturing capabilities to make the Leap Outer Guide Vane and Bleed Valve Duct programs a success. Our team is very excited about both projects and we look forward to using our robust development capabilities, along with Snecma's toolkits, to guide us through the industrialization journey.”
