Bodycote Testing Group's Pointe-Claire lab is pleased to announce it has received notification of approval for accreditation to NADCAP by PRI. The approved scope of services encompasses chemical analysis, mechanical testing (i.e. room temperature tensile, Charpy and Izod impact, bend, hardness, microhardness), corrosion, sample preparation, metallographic assessment, and coatings evaluation.

BTG Pte Claire becomes the only independent third-party laboratory in Quebec currently accredited to NADCAP. This development represents a key strategic initiative for Bodycote in the heart of Canada's multi-billion dollar aerospace industry. Of particular importance is the fact that Pte Claire's NADCAP scope incorporates both metallographic and coatings evaluation which is also unique within both Quebec and Bodycote's other four NADCAP accredited laboratories in North America.

NADCAP is the leading worldwide co-operative program of major companies designed to manage a cost-effective consensus approach to special processes & products and provide continuous improvement within the aerospace & automotive industries.

This further underlines the BTG Pte Claire laboratory's commitment to provide high quality materials testing service for critical aerospace applications. This approval is added to a growing list of aerospace OEM approvals.

Successful accreditation to NADCAP on the initial attempt is further testament to the skills and strengths of the team of Quality and Technical engineers that Bodycote employs worldwide and clear evidence that the group is able to transfer technology throughout its laboratory network.
