FSL Aerospace today announced the results of its first annual supplier performance awards. The specialist supplier of fasteners and fixings set up the scheme to celebrate the professionalism of its network of suppliers throughout the year.
Suppliers are ranked gold, silver or bronze depending on performance against four set criteria:
On time in full, which measures delivery time.
Right first time, measuring the quality and standard of the delivery.
Progressing response time, measuring the time it takes a supplier to respond to a progress request, with FSL expecting this to be within 24 hours.
Acknowledgements, which measures the time taken for a supplier to acknowledge an order, with the expected time for a response to be within 48 hours.
The results from these criteria are reviewed quarterly and annually, improving the relationships between FSL and their suppliers. By working closely with each other, FSL aim to improve current performance, producing a more efficient and effective service for their customers.
This year saw one gold award winner, with 20 companies achieving silver and two claiming a bronze.
Nicola Woodley, Purchasing Manager of FSL Aerospace, says "With consistent growth over the last 5 years, creating strong and reliable relationships with suppliers contributes to the efficiency and highly effective operations here at FSL. It's fantastic to see so many of our suppliers fulfilling and exceeding the performance criteria. This shows that behind every successful business, are reliable and quality suppliers. I look forward to building on these relationships in 2018.
