As it is well known it was officially announced on the 7th of April 2009 at the center of business aviation – Vnukovo-3 about closing of Alenia Aeronautica 25% + 1% stock of Sukhoi Company (JSC). The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Russian Federation Victor Hristenko, the Ministry of economic development of Italy Claudio Scajola, general director of Sukhoi Company (JSC) Mikhail Pogosyan and the President of Finmeccanica concern Pier Francesco Guargualini took part in the solemn ceremony.

Sukhoi Company (JSC) is charged with creation, development, manufacturing and certification of Sukhoi Superjet 100 as well as their promotion and sale at Russian Federation territory, CIS, the Middle East and countries of South–east Asia. The joint venture which was established in 2007 between Italian Alenia Aeronautica, which is a part of Finmeccanica concern and Russian holding company "Sukhoi",- SuperJet International, in its turn, is charged with aircraft promotion at developed markets and with after-sale service of SSJ100 all over the world.

The first aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100 was presented to the audience on the 26th of September 2007 at the factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and there on the 19th of May 2008 it successfully operated its first flight which lasted 1 hour 5 minutes. The stock of orders consists of 98 aircraft by present moment. At present time two SSJ100 are doing full-scale program of certificate testing. CJSC "GSS" is planning to get Russian certificate for Sukhoi Superjet 100 by the end of 2009 and to start deliveries to the first customer. Now the stock of firm orders for SSJ100 aircraft consists of 98 units. In the context of cooperation with Italian strategic partner it is planned to create business version of Sukhoi Superjet 100-SBJ (Sukhoi Business Jet).

United Business Aviation Association (UBAA) positively appreciates creation of business version of Sukhoi Superjet 100-SBJ (Sukhoi Business Jet). The use of aircraft in such variants as Corporate and VIP variant leaves the clients huge spectrum of choice according to the quantity of transportable persons and the distance.

At the Russian market the use of Sukhoi Business Jet will let to replace outmoded Tu-134 and Yak-42 which are the most part of the Russian business aviation fleet. It will also let to have modern aircraft which meets all quality, reliability and ecology standards. The comfort level for the passengers of this aircraft will correspond to such aircraft as A318 and BBJ.

The use of Sukhoi Business Jet in the internal and international airlines and the sales of Corporate and VIP variants of the aircraft to foreign customers will greatly rise the status of Russian aircraft industry and will let to compete with such aircraft as Bombardier CRJ (Canada), Embraer Lineage 1000 (Brazil), A318 Elite and BBJ.

Taking into account integration of Russian business into world economy, it is very important for the manufacturers of Sukhoi Super Jet 100 to arrange production of aircraft version with additional fuel tanks for extension of flight distance and it is very important for the aircraft taking into consideration its maintenance at the extensive territory of Russian Federation.
