Centurion develops Brazilian market
Friday, 7 August 2009

CENTURION has obtained approval for its 1.7 and 2.0 liter engines in Brazil. Thus the CENTURION engine is now certified in all of the important countries involved in general aviation.

"Brazil in particular represents a very interesting market for us," explained CENTURION chairman of the board Jasper M. Wolffson. "Due to its economic growth and geographic conditions there is above average demand for economic small aircraft."

With approval by ANAC, the Brazilian aviation authority, CENTURION engines are now certified in 61 countries throughout the world – in other words, all of the important countries involved in regulated general aviation. "Now there is hardly a place in the world where CENTURION is not on the map," says Wolffson. Type approval (STC) by ANAC for the Cessna 172 and Piper PA 28 is also expected soon.

Altogether, more than 1,000 CENTURION 2.0 engines are currently in operation in Piper, Cessna, Robin and Diamond aircraft worldwide and have completed more than 300,000 flying hours. Not only private customers, but particularly flight schools appreciate the economical consumption offered by this kerosene/diesel engine.
