Greene Tweed's FPH Seal meets fireproof testing requirements while providing static sealing capabilities in fire- and flame-resistant equipment, such as thrust reverser actuator systems (TRAS), fuel systems, and thrust vectoring and nozzle systems.
The FPH Seal design configuration allows for the highest possible "controlled degradation" and consistent testing results.
"During testing, the seal did not experience any significant pressure drops or produce smoke," said Wally Hajduczek, Sealing Systems Product Manager for Aerospace, Defense, and Life Sciences. "The seal held pressure for more than 10 minutes beyond the 15-minute fireproof test."
Greene Tweed's FPH Seal is a viable alternative to heavy, bulky fire shields that are costly and easily damaged, using standard aerospace glands in accordance with AS4716 and AS5857.
