Garmin G3X Touch Avionics Advance for Electric eFlyer 2
Monday, 30 March 2020

Bye Aerospace, the developer of the two-seat all-electric eFlyer 2 aircraft, announced significant advances with Garmin to provide Bye Aerospace's eFlyer 2 with the full suite of electric-specific Garmin G3X Touch avionics.

Garmin is supplying the full VFR to IFR instrument capability, ADAHRS, GPS, transponders and standby instruments. “Bye Aerospace continues to mature the integration of the G3X Touch avionics with the next-generation instrument panel and electric propulsion system displays for the eFlyer 2,” said George Bye, CEO of Bye Aerospace. “We are working closely with Garmin to produce the safest, most reliable and most innovative electric pilot training aircraft ever produced.”

“We are thrilled to support the electric aircraft market with the G3X Touch avionics suite in the eFlyer 2,” said Carl Wolf, Garmin Vice President of Aviation Sales and Marketing. “The G3X Touch has been tailored to the eFlyer 2 to display its electric propulsion information, while also adding safety enhancing synthetic vision, geo-referenced charts, traffic, terrain alerting and more. These impressive features make the G3X Touch avionics suite in the eFlyer 2 ideal for the flight training market.”

The eFlyer family of aircraft, including the eFlyer 2 and the 4-seat eFlyer 4, aims to be the first FAA-certified, practical, all-electric airplanes to serve the flight training and general aviation markets.
