Astronics supplies fuel tank access doors for 737 MAX

18/03/2026

Production will take place at Astronics’ Clackamas, Oregon facility, which supports a range of aircraft systems including passenger service units and environmental controls.

Boeing has selected Astronics Corporation to supply fuel tank access doors for the 737 MAX programme, adding a new component line to the supplier’s existing work on the aircraft.

The company will produce the units at its Clackamas site in Oregon. The site combines design engineering and qualification with vertically integrated manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, die-casting, CNC machining and NADCAP-accredited bonding and finishing, alongside assembly and testing.

Nick Stevenson, President at Astronics PECO, says, “We have a long-standing, valued partnership with Boeing, and we are excited to support the 737 MAX program with the addition of fuel tank access doors to our current offerings.”
