Avionica has completed the purchase of US Patent 5,445,347 and its claims involving vehicle data collection, wireless transmission, and preventative maintenance.

Avionica is an established supplier of wireless aircraft data collection and communications equipment, and has supplied equipment to customers worldwide, including Federal Express, FlyBE, and Sun Country. Avionica wireless equipment is the most widely deployed and field-proven currently available, with existing wireless data collection STC certifications available for Boeing 727, 737, 747, 757, and DHC-8 aircraft. TC certification is available on the Embraer EM195 aircraft, and several additional certifications are pending.
