Liebherr Aerospace has selected AMETEK Airscrew to supply modular aircraft heaters for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and ARJ-21 regional jets.  The heaters will provide supplemental temperature control to the main bleed air system for the baggage bays of both aircraft and the galley area of the Superjet 100. Liebherr will provide the complete environmental control system for both aircraft.            

AMETEK Airscrew heaters are lightweight and of robust construction with low pressure levels and very low noise signatures.  Heater elements are designed for safety and low pressure to ensure that surface temperatures are limited to acceptable levels.  Heater rods are used in conjunction with extruded or cast aluminum heat sinks, increasing the surface area for heat transfer.            

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 is a new regional aircraft with seating for 98 passengers under development in Russia by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company.  The ARJ21 is a new family of regional aircraft with seating for up to 105 passengers being developed by the China Aviation Industry 1.
