Vision Systems present new electronically dimmable windows at EBACE 2014
Tuesday, 20 May 2014

Vision Systems continues to develop its range of smart solar protection solutions with two new Nuance solutions in order to better serve the specific needs of its customers. These Electronically Dimmable Windows are, as the other products of the range, based on SPD technology (Suspended Particle Device), they dim instantly (less than 5 seconds) from clear to dark to reduce light, glare and heat entering the aircraft.

The first new Nuance solution contains a single SPD film offering wider amplitude between clear and dark and very low haze. The clearest state is as clear as the original Nuance solution and the darkest state is as dark as Nuance Dual (2 SPD films) keeping interiors cooler.

The second new Nuance solution is a multizone solar protection providing more comfort thanks to a more accurate regulation of the light as each zone can be controlled independently without separation marks on the window. Darker from the top down like a Venetian blind, from the bottom up, or by adjusting any zone at any level, this multizone solution also offers a new design.

Vision Systems' SPD solutions contribute to cooling costs reduction as they are at their darkest possible state when the aircraft is on the ground. They also block more than 99.9% of UV light which protects the interior from fading, and there fabrication allows noise reduction to keep the cabin quieter. Furthermore, these systems have no moving parts, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

Vision Systems' Electronically Dimmable Windows are now available in different colors to tailor responses to the requirements of the customers.
