Quatro Composites(TM) supports Insitu in developing and manufacturing next generation UAS structures
Monday, 5 October 2009

Quatro Composites(TM), a leader in design and manufacturing of advanced composite structures, has become a technology partner in developing and manufacturing composite components for Insitu's next generation unmanned aircraft system (UAS).

"The Technical Development Center, located in Poway, CA, is providing valuable input to Insitu's engineering team, working with them to design their parts for composite fabrication on the next generation UAS due to release in second quarter of 2009," said Karash Turpin, Vice President of Quatro's Engineering Operations. "Insitu was able to take advantage of our specially designed and fabricated assembly and alignment tools, as well as our extensive experience and proprietary out-of-autoclave manufacturing processes."

Quatro also received NADCAP Accreditation this year. The certification process requires stringent compliance to the highest industry standards for advanced composite parts fabrication for aerospace companies. Quatro is also BAC5578, ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004 certified. The AS9100 certification signifies both of its facilities, located in Orange City, IA and Poway, CA, comply with all standards of the quality management system.
