CDG, a Boeing Company, announced that it has received its ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification. CDG is the first Boeing subsidiary to receive this certification.
CDG was also recently re-certified to ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management.
In the course of the ISO 14001 certification audit, ISO auditors reviewed the company's environmental policies, and employees' understanding of environmental aspects and impacts at their workplace, and how these relate to their individual jobs. The company's compliance with quality management policies and procedures was also carefully evaluated for the ISO 9001:2008 re-certification process.
CDG President and CEO David Malmo commented, "The ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification for CDG is the starting point for a lifelong journey to enhance our business practices, by taking into account our impact on the environment. CDG is extremely aware of its environmental responsibilities, and our ISO 14001 certification combined with our ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, while continuing to provide high quality services to our customers."
CDG's UK facilities have also received an ISO BS EN 9001:2008 accreditation for quality management.
