In comparison to F-35 / F-22, the aircraft is anticipated to offer a longer range, and enhanced stealth and adaptability, while requiring fewer resources to deploy, and lower costs. Boeing X-37Low-earth orbit, unmanned, reusable spacecraft used to demonstrate reusable space advancements, requires launch vehicle to exit atmosphere then can re-enter and land as a spaceplane (upon re-entry, vehicle is capable of Mach 25). DARPA involvement reflects potential military applications.
Leonardo AW139Twin turboshaft medium utility helicopter. Includes the variant for USAF, MH-139.
Sikorsky S-97 RaiderCounter-rotating coaxial rotor attack helicopter with pusher propeller. Includes variants Sikorsky-Boeing SB>1 Defiant (demonstrator), Defiant X (Future Long Range Air Assault program, FLRAA contender - not chosen) and Raider X (contender for U.S. Army's Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program - chosen). Derived from X2 technology demonstrator.
