STABLCOR technology license

03/12/2007

Press releaseIssued by Merlin Circuit Technology Ltd. and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

Stevenage Circuits Ltd. is pleased to announce that they have become the first UK company to license the unique STABLCOR technology for fabrication of high specification products that require thermal management, CTE matching or rigidity improvements. STABLCOR may also replace Thermount in specific builds.

An introduction to the technology was presented at the Stevenage Circuits facility to an open forum of key customers on Friday November 30th 2007. Invitations had to be limited due to the huge interest in this technology, particularly amongst the Military and Aerospace fraternities, however, technical sales representatives and internal engineering staff are available to answer any questions and assist in the successful implementation of this technology into customer designs.

Stevenage Circuits' General Manager, Dougal Stewart, said 'Stevenage Circuits has always been at the forefront of technology, and STABLCOR laminates enable us to provide heat management and CTE matching previously provided by using copper invar copper. The reduction in weight is significant, and with every gram weight in flight situations adding to both environmental and economic cost, this technology is a must for aerospace applications. To be the first licensee in the UK demonstrates our commitment to providing the best technology available to our customers.'
