Aernnova - AgustaWestland contract

Dedicated to the design and manufacture of aerostructures, the Aernnova company (Spain) has signed a contract with AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, for the manufacture and assembly of the rear fuselage of NH90 Helicopter. This structure is manufactured primarily in composite materials (carbon fiber). The following Aernnova group companies will participate to the Programme: Fibertecnic (Basque country) and Aernnova Andalucia (Seville). The contract, following to a competitive bid involving also two other Spanish companies, has been stipulated within the range of AgustaWestland industrial participation obligations in Spain as a consequence of the procurement by Spanish MoD of 45 NH90 Helicopters.

This is the first collaboration between the two companies and it means the consolidation of Aernnova in the Helicopter market in which is already a Partner of Sikorsky (S/H92) and Eurocopter (Superpuma) helicopters.

Through this contract Aernnova continues its diversification of customers and products, process that strengthens its strategic position as a supplier of large structures in composite material.
