Rockwell Collins today unveiled a new HD version of its Cabin Electronic System (CES HD) for Bombardier Global 5000, Global 6000 and Challenger 605 aircraft.
CES HD – a comprehensive HD cabin system available for Bombardier large cabin business jets - will be standard fit on these aircraft beginning in early 2012.
"We've worked closely with Bombardier to significantly upgrade the CES system, now giving passengers access to high-definition entertainment, along with a new suite of features including the ability to use personal devices to control the cabin system and provide entertainment content," said Dave Austin, vice president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins. "This highly reliable solution brings a whole new level of entertainment to these aircraft."
CES HD features include:
• New HD touch-screen in-seat and galley displays with intuitive, highly responsive and easy-to-use graphical user interfaces.
• Enhanced Airshow® moving maps that can be customized with real-time flight information and language preferences.
• HD bulkhead and credenza monitors that deliver a crisp home theater experience.
• Integration of the latest advances in Blu-ray™ HD sources that support DVD, CD and a host of additional formats delivered to each user onboard.
Rockwell Collins is the first to deliver a high-definition entertainment solution for business jets.
