Hampson Aerospace (Hampson), the international aerospace group, announced it has been awarded a contract to provide the turnkey tooling solution for the new Triumph Aerostructures - Vought Aircraft Division wing manufacturing facility in Texas. Together with the factory and automation integrator, Comau Aerospace, Hampson will provide a complete tooling solution for turnkey manufacturing and production capabilities at the new wing facility.

The 240,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility will manufacture wings for the Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets. The facility is to be located on 28 acres of the 93 acres Triumph Aerostructures, Vought Aircraft Division, has purchased for future development, in the Red Oak Industrial Park, Red Oak, Texas, USA.

"It is an honor to have been chosen to design and build the tools required for the new wing manufacturing facility," stated Paul Walsh, CEO Hampson Aerospace Tooling Solutions. "This is the second contract of this type and size that Hampson has won this year and clearly demonstrates our ability to deliver tooling solutions of the highest level of technical complexity and scale."

Tools designed and manufactured by Hampson have, and continue to play, a critical role in the design, pre-production, and production phases of many programs in aerospace including Boeing 787, 777, 747-8, 737; Airbus A380, A350, A320; Bombardier CSeries* aircraft; Gulfstream G650; Cessna Citation; HondaJet; Lockheed Martin F-35; Boeing F-18; and Sikorsky CH53. Hampson now works with virtually every major airframe manufacturer in the world.
