A NADCAP first for Tods Aerospace

As part of a continuing policy to remain in the forefront of the global aerospace supply chain Tods Aerospace has successfully completed an official audit for their 'non-destructive testing' procedures, under the NADCAP internationally accepted aerospace accreditation programme for quality control.

The non-destructive testing accreditation is the first phase of a three-part audit programme, with Tods now embedded to achieve two further NADCAP Standards for Paint and composite manufacturing processes.

Martyn Perks, Quality Director Tods Aerospace on receiving the provisional accreditation audit, said; "As a rapidly expanding SME in the aerospace supply chain, Tods are a lead player for the manufacture of composite sub-frame structures for military and commercial rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft. We supply to a number of global aircraft manufacturers.

"Globalisation of our industry, where airframes are assembled in a number of emerging economies, makes it imperative for us in the U.K. to keep abreast of required international standards for quality and quality assurance. For Tods this has been a huge investment of time, in people and their training for us to retain this vital edge and to commit to our long-term future, building upon a reputation that Tods have achieved over the past 25 years."
