Kaman Aerospace Group (Paris Air Show Exhibit Hall 3, D118) announced today at the 50th International Paris Air Show that its Kaman Aerosystems division (Kaman) has been selected by Triumph Aerostructures – Vought Aircraft Division (Triumph) to manufacture the Fixed Leading Edge (FLE) assemblies for the Bombardier Global 7000 and Global 8000 large, ultra long-range business jets. The FLE assemblies are part of the wing structure. Triumph is responsible for the design and build of the wings and has issued Kaman an Advanced Procurement Authorization (APA) letter to initiate production while the contract details are finalized. The FLE assemblies will be manufactured at Kaman's facilities in Jacksonville, Florida, USA and Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. First deliveries are scheduled to support Bombardier Aerospace's scheduled entry-into-service in 2016 and 2017 for the Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets, respectively.

“This award further advances the relationship between Kaman and Triumph,” stated Robert Kanaskie, President Kaman Integrated Structures and Metallics, a unit of Kaman. “We are pleased to have earned a role with Triumph on this large and technologically advanced business jet program.”
