Metronor AS selected to provide additional Harmolign boresight/harmonization system for BAE Systems Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer

Metronor AS has received an order from BAE Systems (Operations) Ltd., UK for delivery of an additional Harmolign for Hawk boresight/harmonization system.

Metronor's HarmoLign system technology was originally developed under contract with BAE Systems (Operations) Ltd. during 2004-2006. The system is based on Metronor's patented electro-optical technology, and has been designed to provide the most flexible, capable and affordable boresighting/harmonization system technology available in the market. Providing on-screen type-specific graphical operator guidance - eliminating the need for operator training - and requiring no scheduled maintenance or calibration, the system has very low life-cycle costs. While the system shares key technology with Metronor's proven range of industrial geometry measurement systems, the Harmolign system has been engineered from the ground up to meet tough accuracy requirements and all applicable military standards.

This recent order brings the total number of 'Harmolign for Hawk' systems ordered to 14 and the majority of the Hawk aircraft end users are now using Metronor's Harmolign systems for boresighting/ harmonization of their aircraft.

In addition to the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer, Metronor's Harmolign boresight system technology has been adapted and delivered for boresighting/harmonization of various rotary- and fixed wing aircraft like the Lockheed Martin F-16, SAAB Gripen, Eurofighter ASTA and other.
