RUAG Aviation to produce new cable harnesses for Airbus

An official Qualification for Special Process has been awarded to RUAG Aviation by Airbus. Formalised in October 2013, the Qualification authorises RUAG AVIATION to provide, install and supply certain Airbus harnesses requiring the same Special Processes.

RUAG Aviation possesses over 15 years of experience in cable harness manufacture at its headquarters in Emmen, Switzerland, where production will continue to take place. This prior experience derives from the company supplying its sister division, RUAG Technology, with cable harnesses to support the production of wingtips for the Airbus A320 and A330.

“The experience and know-how gained by RUAG Aviation in our preceding role as a subcontractor is the foundation of this Qualification,” emphasises Andreas Külling, Team Leader of Production Engineering at RUAG Aviation. “We are pleased now also to be able to provide customers worldwide with reliable high quality cable harnesses.”
