Laboratory Testing Inc. receives Gulfstream Aerospace approval

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) of Hatfield, PA has been approved by Gulfstream Aerospace as a supplier of material testing services. The approval was granted on November 20, 2014 following a complete facilities survey and examination of the Quality Control/Assurance system, and will be valid for three years. The certificate of approval lists a wide-range of material testing services that Laboratory Testing will perform per industry standards for Gulfstream and the company's suppliers, including:

• Nondestructive Testing: Magnetic particle, Liquid penetrant, Ultrasonic

• Chemical Analysis: ICP, FTIR, Combustion/Fusion

• Corrosion Testing: Salt spray, Intergranular corrosion

• Mechanical Testing: Tensile, Hardness, Fracture toughness, Stress rupture, Charpy impact, Jominy, Flattening, Conductivity, Flare, Bend, Fastener testing

• Metallurgical Testing: Micro/Macro exam, Case depth, Delta ferrite, Microhardness, Plating thickness, Depth of decarburization, Inclusion content, Grain size, Weld/Braze evaluation

The Gulfstream certificate adds to a long list of LTI aerospace industry approvals which include Agusta Aerospace, Airbus, Bell Helicopter Textron, Boeing, Eaton Corp., GE Aviation, Hamilton Sundstrand, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Sikorsky, Sterling Helicopter and more. “The Gulfstream approval reinforces LTI's expertise and range of testing capabilities to meet the needs of aerospace manufacturers”, said Frank Peszka, Director of Quality.
