Multi-Component Load Cells

09/11/2006

Press releaseIssued by Futek Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology's Multi Component Sensors are designed to measure multiple forces and moments simultaneously. They are designed to accurately measure up to six components (3 forces and 3 moments) of load. For example, independent strain gauge bridges are used to measure three directions of force: longitude, latitude, and vertical, as well as the moments about each force direction.

All designs are one piece flexures, machined and gauged to give optimum output, stiffness and durability. General characteristics & features for this product line include:

Stainless steel and Aluminum construction

Measures torque and thrust simultaneously

High stiffness

Low Cross Talk

Temperature compensated

NIST traceable calibration

Flexible mounting options

Various signal cable exit options

Custom designed to fit your required application

Built-in amplifier for all channels

Various force / moment configurations include:

Multi-Component Bi-Axial Load Arm

Torque and Tension Biaxial Sensor

Multi-Component Tri-Axial Load Cell

Multi-Component Low Profile Thrust and Moment Pancake Sensor (Tension Base included)

Multi-Component Tri-Axial

FUTEK's meticulous approach to the design of these Multi Component Sensors provides you a product line that can be used for impact testing, measuring rolling resistance, bolt load testing, tire testing applications, etc.
