Paulo granted Boeing approval for BAC5617 and BAC5619

After receiving requests from many customers, specifically in the Wichita, Kansas area, Paulo's Kansas City Division was able to gain approval from The Boeing Company in less than a year. Starting with a request to Spirit Aerospace in March, Paulo opened a dialogue between Spirit and interested customers. After gathering the available information, Paulo met with Boeing to discuss the specifications and approval process. In October, Boeing conducted a two day audit of the Kansas City facility and issued an approval in December.

The Boeing approval is the latest in a growing list of OEM approvals. And serves as a testament to Paulo's commitment to both quality and customer service. “Paulo strives to meet customer expectations and we're always seeking new approvals.” says Quality Assurance Manager Mark Affolter, “We want to continue our role as a major contributor to the aerospace industry. Obtaining and maintaining elite OEM approvals are keys to serving the industry and our customers.”

Paulo's Kansas City Division is one of the largest and best equipped heat treating facilities in the Midwest, offering production heat treating in integral quench, continuous belt, and vacuum furnaces, as well as processing to Nadcap requirements. In addition to Nadcap certification, the facility is ISO9001/14001 compliant and approved for many aerospace customers such as Beechcraft, Boeing, Cessna, Eaton, Parker, and Honeywell. The Kansas City facility also provides induction hardening, salt bath, deep freezing, blasting, and black oxide services.

Paulo offers a wide variety of heat treating, brazing and metal finishing solutions as well as a broad range of metallurgical and engineering services. In addition to the Kansas City facility, Paulo operates plants in St. Louis, Missouri, Nashville and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Cleveland, Ohio.
