New 3-blade MT-Propeller supplemental type certified on Cessna 206 series

23/09/2015

Press releaseIssued by MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has yet received the EASA STC #10054487 for the next generation 3-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-9-D/200-58 on the Cessna 206 series powered by the Engines Teledyne Continental TSIO-520-C & TSIO-520M.

As MT-Propeller President Gerd Muehlbauer says, the installation of the new 3-blade propeller on Cessna 206 series improves climb performance slightly. Cruising is very smooth. There is no speed penalty. The propeller has approx. 7,5kg (16,5 lbs) less weight than the original 3-blade metal propeller.

he MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction for a jetlike vibration and noise signature. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD.
They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

All models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010– „Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries!
