Royal Engineered Composites acquires "time reversal" technology

07/10/2015

Press releaseIssued by Royal Engineered Composites, Inc. and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

Royal Engineered Composites is the first North American Aerospace Composites company to add "Time Reversal" technology to their nondestructive inspection capabilities. This "time reversal" technology, as it is called by Zetec, utilizes a unique phase array ultrasonic technology to vastly improve efficiency and flexibility for inspection solutions.

Royal continues to position itself as a leader in technology for the future and for growth. This forward look keeps Royal's employee owners advancing into new opportunities and positions everyday while creating a consistent need for new employee owners to join the team. Royal's projected growth includes many new jobs over the next 12 months all with development and growth opportunities in an ownership culture.

Royal's ownership culture is a key to their continued success, and their location in rural Nebraska has served them well in the past and will into the future. Royal enjoys the "ownership" mentality of the Midwest environment as they continue to grow into the ever expanding aerospace composites market. Royal's values of honesty, performance, growth, teamwork and respect for the individual are lived out each day in unique ways that benefit employee owners and their highly valued customers.

Royal's investment in this technology will allow them to support structural composite fabrication. Royal is under contract to provide such structural components to a tier-one supplier for a composite-intensive commercial aircraft. Zetec's innovative approach has completely redefined the potential of phased array UT technology with this approach. This inspection system will help Royal fully exploit the capabilities of phased array ultrasonic technology to perform more efficient and reliable inspections.
